We have everything you need to know Madden 22 as the release date nears. Madden 22 will be released worldwide on Friday, August 20, 2018. If you've pre-ordered Madden 22, you'll get to enjoy the game three days prior to Tuesday, August 17. Pre-orders not only give you early access to the game, but also many other features. This is explained below.
There are three versions of Madden 22 available to purchase: Dynasty, MVP and Standard. Each edition is upgraded and comes with added perks, which is why they're more expensive. Below, we'll describe the exact features of each edition (all benefits only available to pre-order).
If you're looking for a basic version of the editions available here you go: If you do not play Madden Ultimate Team (MUT), just get the Standard Edition. The upgraded editions offer some franchise bonuses, however only MUT players will benefit from them.
EA Sports made some changes after fans were frustrated by the lack of updates for franchise mode last year. EA Sports promises "more detailed staff management and skill tree progression systems, with comprehensive weekly game strategy which integrates into your gameplan" in franchise mode for Madden 22. EA Sports also promises "live service updates," meaning franchise mode will be upgraded throughout the year. They already have one scheduled to be released in September. This will include an update to the player scouting feature.
The Yard was first introduced in Madden 22 and will be returning this year with some minor improvements. The new version will have new locations and a new ranking mode. EA Sports has enhanced what was known as Superstar Mode into Face of the Franchise. I'm disappointed by Madden 22's Face of the Franchise, however, EA Sports promises "more customization" in the new version, which may improve the game.
